Part Time Electronic Security & Emergency Systems Tutor & Assessor
| Job description: | Responsible for: Delivery and assessment of our Electronic Security & Emergency Systems Provision covering: • Access control systems • Intruder alarm systems • Closed circuit television (CCTV) systems • Fire detection and alarm systems The candidate will be based out of the Construction Skills Academy at Gateshead College delivering and assessing the following: •Level 2 Certificate in Knowledge of Security & Emergency Systems •Level 2 NVQ for Providing Security, Emergency & Alarm systems The provision will be initially delivered 2-3 days per week & possibly some evenings. These qualifications are aimed at those already employed within the sector but looking for formal National recognition. Main purpose: The ability to successfully deliver this training programme to the customers’ requirements without any issues. Main responsibilities: • Delivery of our Electronic Security & Emergency Systems Provision • Assessment of candidates on/off site • Day to day liaison with provision manager and administrator(s) • Day to day liaison with Gateshead college training team • Meeting external customers’ delivery expectations • To ensure that all training resources are fully serviceable/stocked • To comply with health and safety regulations The person: • Previous experience in a training environment/background desirable • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills • Confident and energetic communicator • Enthusiasm, resilience and drive • Will be required to be flexible • IT/power-point literate Qualifications: The candidate must be occupationally competent, suitably qualified and able to demonstrate current occupational experience within the Electronic Security & Emergency Systems sector. In addition the candidate will require: • A1 vocational assessors award or be prepared to work towards this qualification • Teaching qualification (desirable) • First aid at work qualified (desirable) • Current driving licence with access to your own transport • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Package: Salary:Negotiable dependent on qualifications & experience Other benefits:Staff development: CPD Scope for full time employment dependent on success of provision |
